Relocation, site clearance and hardware recovery, all handled in-house by one team.
Forty racks and several hundred devices: our latest data center move took a new customer's server environment from Rennes to Nantes. We took the racks down in Rennes, loaded them onto our own trucks for the roughly 110 km journey, and had them running again in Nantes.
More than a move
Getting the racks to Nantes was only part of the job. Once the new site was live, our team went back to Rennes and dismantled the old site completely. The customer got their space back broom-clean, with nothing left behind.
A second life for retired hardware
Not everything made the trip to Nantes. Hardware the customer no longer needed went to our facility in Austria, where it was refurbished and prepared for resale. Whatever couldn't be reused went to certified recycling. Nothing ended up in a skip. This is where our IT asset disposition services come in: the customer turns old equipment into value instead of a disposal cost, with full documentation of what happened to every device.
Four countries, one team
Our teams from France, the UK, the Netherlands and Austria worked on this project together. Because all of them are nesevo employees, there were no subcontractors and no hand-offs between companies. The same people who planned the move also carried it out, from the first rack in Rennes to the last device in recycling.
A customer that came back
The customer has already booked follow-up projects with us. For a new relationship, that's the feedback we value most.
It's also by far not our first data center move in France: e.g. we relocated 30+ racks from Amsterdam to Lille in just 2.5 days.
