A full buildout from scratch, delivered on time and on spec by our team in Virginia.
Our team in Ashburn, Virginia, recently completed a full data center buildout for one of our customers: 64 racks, 640 servers and more than 60 networking devices. The project came in on time, on spec and exactly as planned.
The scope
The work started with empty space. We built out 64 racks from scratch and ran vertical and horizontal cabling throughout, using nesevo's own patch panels. Because we make the panels ourselves, we control their quality and availability instead of waiting on a third-party supplier. Once the cabling was in place, our team racked and installed more than 60 networking devices and 640 servers.
Weeks of planning before the first cable
A project of this size doesn't come together on site. It's the result of weeks of detailed planning before a single cable is pulled. In a live data center environment, every decision affects the next one, so a solid plan is essential.
No plan survives contact with reality perfectly, and this one didn't have to. What a good plan does is give the whole team a shared understanding of the goal, so they can react quickly when something unexpected comes up. On a project like this, something always comes up.
Why clean cabling is worth the extra time
Clean, structured cabling takes longer to install. Every hour spent on proper routing, the right bend radius and clear labelling pays off the first time someone needs to trace a cable at 2am. Messy cabling causes problems from day one, and it gets much worse the moment anything changes. Read more about why structured cabling is the foundation of every successful data center.
One team, from start to finish
From planning and our own patch panels to installation and handover, the whole project stayed with one nesevo team. That's how we work on every buildout: one partner covers the full chain from procurement and manufacturing to installation and patching, with no subcontractors.
This isn't our only project in the US. Our team also moved 100+ racks from Virginia to our Atlanta integration site, and you can find all our locations on our international page.
