nesevo recently completed a high-volume decommissioning, data sanitization, and partial data center relocation project for a valued customer across two locations in Germany — Frankfurt and Rüsselsheim.
Certified Wipe of 20,000 HDDs
In the first phase of the project, our team performed a certified data erasure of approximately 20,000 hard drives, ensuring full compliance with strict industry standards and customer-specific security requirements. This was carried out using proven, audit-ready processes to guarantee complete data sanitation.
Back to Frankfurt for +1,600 Servers
With the wipe completed, our decommissioning and logistics teams returned to Frankfurt for the next step: the removal of more than 1,600 servers. All systems were carefully disassembled, documented, and prepared for transport in line with the customer’s asset management and chain-of-custody expectations.
Supporting a Smooth Data Center Relocation
This project also supported the customer’s ongoing data center relocation initiative. By ensuring secure removal and transport of critical infrastructure, nesevo enabled a seamless migration to the next phase of their IT footprint — with zero downtime and full transparency throughout.
