Bien que semblables en apparence, ces lignes de produits d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es pour des applications sp\u00e9cifiques pr\u00e9sentent souvent des diff\u00e9rences majeures en termes de fonctionnalit\u00e9s, de performances et de prix.<\/p>\n<p>La principale raison de ces diff\u00e9rences majeures r\u00e9side dans le silicium utilis\u00e9 dans chaque bo\u00eetier. Dans ce contexte, le silicium fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au concepteur du chipset qui agit comme le \"cerveau\" de l'appareil. Il existe deux grandes cat\u00e9gories de composants en silicium pour les \u00e9quipements de r\u00e9seau. <strong>Silicium du vendeur<\/strong>les chipsets qui sont con\u00e7us en interne par le fournisseur lui-m\u00eame (par exemple, Trio ou Express de Juniper). <strong>Silicium marchand<\/strong>les chipsets achet\u00e9s \u00e0 un concepteur\/fournisseur externe (par exemple, Trident ou Jericho de Broadcom).<\/p>\n<p>En d\u00e9finitive, les chipsets sont des \u00e9l\u00e9ments co\u00fbteux \u00e0 concevoir en interne. L'utilisation d'un silicium marchand con\u00e7u en externe permet \u00e0 un fournisseur de r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement le co\u00fbt et le temps de mise sur le march\u00e9 d'un nouveau produit.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, un jeu de puces est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour un march\u00e9 ou un cas d'utilisation de produit sp\u00e9cifique, puis adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 un ensemble de fonctions granulaires et exigeantes. Juniper con\u00e7oit son propre silicium pour ses lignes phares MX et PTX (Trio et Express, respectivement) ; ces jeux de puces offrent une \u00e9chelle \u00e9norme pour le routage (Trio dans MX) et la commutation (Express dans PTX). Toutefois, Juniper propose \u00e9galement des options de commutation et de routage moins riches en fonctionnalit\u00e9s \u00e0 des prix inf\u00e9rieurs en utilisant du silicium marchand pour des lignes de produits telles que l'EX et le QFX.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Entr\u00e9e de Broadcom<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadcom.com\/\">Broadcom,<\/a> cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1961 en tant que filiale de HP, reste le principal leader du march\u00e9 du silicium marchand gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l'introduction du chipset Trident en 2010. Cependant, nous allons examiner trois offres populaires du silicium marchand de Broadcom pour le routage et la commutation \u00e0 usage g\u00e9n\u00e9ral :<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Trident (Trident+, Trident 2, Trident 3, Trident 4C)<\/h4>\n<p>Le chipset Trident se concentre principalement sur la commutation de couche 2, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9e dans les applications d'entreprise\/de campus et dans certains environnements de centres de donn\u00e9es. Le Trident a une forte densit\u00e9 de ports \u00e0 faible vitesse (10G, 40G, etc.) et est \u00e9galement capable d'effectuer un routage de base et une manipulation des paquets\/QoS avec des performances de niveau moyen. Les Trident 2 et 2+ ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les premiers chipsets \u00e0 prendre en charge le VXLAN, respectivement dans les Arista 7050X et X2, apr\u00e8s qu'Arista a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la normalisation du protocole VXLAN dans la RFC7348.<\/p>\n<p>Dans l'univers des 400G, le Trident 4 est actuellement disponible dans la cat\u00e9gorie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products\/switches\/qfx-series.html\">Juniper QFX5130<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arista.com\/en\/products\/7050x4-series\">Famille Arista 7050X4<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Tomahawk (Tomahawk, Tomahawk 2, Tomahawk 3, Tomahawk 4)<\/h4>\n<p>Tomahawk est n\u00e9 du d\u00e9veloppement de Trident peu apr\u00e8s la sortie de Trident 2. L'objectif initial de Tomahawk \u00e9tait d'apporter une haute densit\u00e9 100G abordable sur le m\u00eame march\u00e9 que Trident. Les bo\u00eetiers bas\u00e9s sur Tomahawk sont id\u00e9aux pour les environnements DCI \u00e0 haute capacit\u00e9 (c.-\u00e0-d. en tant que n\u0153ud dorsal).<\/p>\n<p>Les mod\u00e8les actuels dot\u00e9s des chipsets Tomahawk 3 et 4 de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration sont les suivants<a href=\"https:\/\/www.arista.com\/en\/products\/7060x5-series\"> Arista 7060X5<\/a> (plus la variante de ch\u00e2ssis Arista 7388X5) et le<a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/documentation\/us\/en\/hardware\/qfx5220\/topics\/topic-map\/qfx5220-system-overview.html\"> Juniper QFX5220<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Jericho (Jericho+, Jericho 2, Jericho 2c\/2c+)<\/h4>\n<p>Jericho apporte la gamme de produits Broadcom au monde du routage, offrant des tampons de paquets profonds et une \u00e9chelle de routage qui (lorsqu'elle est associ\u00e9e au syst\u00e8me d'exploitation de r\u00e9seau du bon fournisseur, tel que EOS d'Arista) lui permet de g\u00e9rer des tables de routage compl\u00e8tes et des performances de routage \u00e0 taux de ligne, ainsi que de riches capacit\u00e9s de tissu. Les bo\u00eetiers bas\u00e9s sur Jericho sont parfaits pour les r\u00f4les BGP tels que le peering ou la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie des fournisseurs, et lorsqu'ils sont utilis\u00e9s dans ce r\u00f4le, ils peuvent g\u00e9rer jusqu'\u00e0 14,4 Tbps de d\u00e9bit, en fonction de la composition du trafic.<\/p>\n<p>Les derniers appareils dot\u00e9s de la puce Jericho 2C\/2C+ sont les suivants <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arista.com\/en\/products\/7280r3-series\">Arista 7280R3<\/a> et certaines cartes de ligne Cisco r\u00e9cemment mises sur le march\u00e9 pour la famille <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisco.com\/c\/en\/us\/products\/routers\/network-convergence-system-5500-series\/index.html\">Plate-forme NCS5500<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Syst\u00e8mes d'exploitation de r\u00e9seau<\/h3>\n<p>Pourquoi des familles de produits de fournisseurs concurrents peuvent-elles avoir certains ensembles de fonctionnalit\u00e9s que d'autres n'ont pas ? C'est le r\u00e9sultat des diff\u00e9rences entre les piles logicielles des fournisseurs (pensez \u00e0 Arista EOS par rapport \u00e0 Juniper Junos).
