VXLAN erm\u00f6glicht diese Technologien auf anbieterunabh\u00e4ngige Weise.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Was ist VXLAN?<\/h3>\n<p>Traditionell haben sich Rechenzentrumsnetzwerke (auch Unternehmens- und Campusnetzwerke) auf veraltete VLANs und Protokolle wie Spanning Tree verlassen, um Schutz vor Netzwerkfehlern zu bieten. Dadurch wird die Verwaltung von Konfigurations\u00e4nderungen zeitaufw\u00e4ndiger, was die Bereitstellung von Diensten verlangsamt, die Fehlerbehebung erschwert und zu hohen Betriebskosten f\u00fchrt. Das Festhalten an einer veralteten Netzwerkarchitektur macht es au\u00dferdem unm\u00f6glich, Automatisierung und moderne Services wie VPCs und VNFs zu implementieren.<\/p>\n<p>VXLAN, kurz f\u00fcr Virtual eXtensible LAN, wurde unter RFC7348 von Ingenieuren der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arista.com\/en\/\">Arista<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisco.com\/\">Cisco<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadcom.com\/\">Broadcom<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vmware.com\/\">VMWare<\/a> (u. a.), um einen manuellen Ansatz f\u00fcr den Netzwerkbetrieb zu bek\u00e4mpfen und eine neue Grundlage f\u00fcr die Skalierung von Netzwerken zu schaffen, w\u00e4hrend die Software- und Serverebene besser integriert wird. VXLAN wurde erstmals 2012 eingef\u00fchrt (etwa zur gleichen Zeit wie der Trident 2-Chipsatz von Broadcom, der als erstes kommerzielles Silizium VXLAN VTEP-Unterst\u00fctzung in Hardware bot) und brachte mehrere Funktionen mit sich, die Netzwerke im Cloud-Ma\u00dfstab und Automatisierung durch Aufhebung der traditionellen Layer-2-Beschr\u00e4nkungen erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Wie funktioniert VXLAN, und wie unterscheidet es sich von herk\u00f6mmlichen VLANs?<\/h3>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zu herk\u00f6mmlichen VLANs, deren 12-Bit-Header nach 802.1q eine H\u00f6chstzahl von 4096 VLANs pro Netz vorschreibt, werden bei VXLAN die Dienste \u00fcber gekapselte Tunnel bereitgestellt, die \u00fcber ein IP-Netz geleitet werden. Jeder Dienst wird innerhalb des VXLAN durch einen eindeutigen Bezeichner (\u00e4hnlich einem VLAN-Tag) getrennt, der als VNID (Virtual Network Identifier) bezeichnet wird. Dabei handelt es sich um ein 24-Bit-Feld, das bis zu 16 Millionen eindeutige VNIDs pro VXLAN erm\u00f6glicht. Das Ergebnis ist eine wesentlich h\u00f6here Anzahl von Netzdiensten.<\/p>\n<p>VXLAN-Tunnel werden zwischen VXLAN-Tunnelendpunkten (VTEPs) aufgebaut, die die \u201cRandknoten\u201d eines Tunnels sind - funktionell gleichbedeutend mit einem VLAN. Eingehende Frames werden vom VTEP als UDP-Datagramm eingekapselt und \u00fcber ein Standard-IP-Netzwerk (Underlay) zum Ziel-VTEP geroutet, wo sie entkapselt und \u00fcber einen Egress-Port oder eine virtuelle Schnittstelle gesendet werden. Zwischengeschaltete Router sehen den Tunnel lediglich als UDP-Datenstrom. Dies erm\u00f6glicht die Verwendung von Standard-Routing-Protokollen und eine einfache Aufr\u00fcstung des Netzwerks zur Unterst\u00fctzung von VXLAN - nur die Randknoten des Netzwerks m\u00fcssen anfangs VXLAN unterst\u00fctzen. Mit diesem Ansatz k\u00f6nnen VXLANs auch \u00fcber mehrere IP-Netzwerke verteilt werden. Au\u00dferdem erm\u00f6glicht er eine selbstheilende Struktur \u00fcber eine bestehende geroutete IP-Infrastruktur.<\/p>\n<p>Ein weiterer Vorteil von VXLAN ist die Integration von VTEPs in viele Hypervisor-L\u00f6sungen. Im Gegensatz zu traditionellen Netzwerken mit arbeitsintensiven Konfigurationen bringt die Terminierung der VXLAN-Instanz direkt im Hypervisor das Netzwerk in die moderne Welt des Cloud- und Datacenter-Computings und erm\u00f6glicht die automatisierte Bereitstellung von Rechen- und Netzwerkressourcen gleichzeitig. Der Betreiber kann nun eine erweiterte Produktpalette mit VPCs, VNFs und anderen modernen Konzepten in einer selbstheilenden Fabric einf\u00fchren, die eine nahtlose und sofortige Verlagerung von Workloads ohne Anpassung der Netzwerkkonfiguration erm\u00f6glicht.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Welche Ger\u00e4te unterst\u00fctzen VXLAN?<\/h3>\n<p>Heutzutage bieten die meisten Hersteller VXLAN-Unterst\u00fctzung in Hardware in ihren Hersteller-Silizium-Boxen (wie z. B. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products\/routers\/mx-series.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Juniper MX<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products\/routers\/ptx-series.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Juniper PTX<\/a>). Die Unterst\u00fctzung von Handelssilizium besteht seit der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung des Broadcom Trident 2-Chipsatzes und wurde erstmals in der Arista <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arista.com\/en\/products\/7050x-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Serie 7050<\/a>. Juniper f\u00fchrte kurz darauf mit dem Juniper QFX5100 die Unterst\u00fctzung auch in den Siliziumboxen seiner H\u00e4ndler ein. Jedes Ger\u00e4t mit einem Broadcom Trident 2-, Tomahawk- oder Jericho-Chipsatz sollte keine Probleme mit VXLAN haben (vergewissern Sie sich jedoch vor dem Kauf, dass der Anbieter die erforderlichen Protokolle in seiner Software aktiviert hat, um die Hardware-VXLAN-Funktionen zu unterst\u00fctzen).<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Wie sieht eine VXLAN-Netzwerkarchitektur aus?<\/h3>\n<p>Wie bereits erw\u00e4hnt, ist die optimale Topologie aus Sicht der Kapazit\u00e4t und Ausfallsicherheit innerhalb des Rechenzentrums das Spine und Leaf. Dies gilt auch f\u00fcr VXLAN.
